INNOCENT THOUGHTS OF A GUILTY MAN

I'm in the gym a lot. I'm what is commonly known as a gym rat. Whether working out or playing basketball, I spend a good amount of time there. And the one thing I always notice is how people dress in the gym. It wasn't even a concern for me before I started going almost every day, but once you have that kind of schedule you'll find you can never have enough gym clothes. I realized to some people, gym fashion is very important, perhaps too important, and there are all types of gym folks in regards to fashion. I'm what I would call a "regular guy" when it comes to fashion in the gym. In my opionion if a man is spending too much time worrying about what he is wearing in the gym then he has problems. Some old gym shorts you've had since high school and a cut up tee shirt that you bought in myrtle beach on spring break is really all you need. Now this may only be an L.A. thing...but I have some major complaints with some of these dudes in the gym out...

As I continue to indulge in my E-bay shopping sickness, I have become completely fascinated with bags for men. And much like when you buy a new car, and then you see the same car everywhere, when I got my bag, I started to notice just how many men out there were in the bag game also. But when shopping for a bag, you have to understand what kind of bag man you are. I have found there are really 3 types: THE COMPUTER GUY: The computer guy is all about functionality. With large bulky bags carrying tons of items inside, the computer guy usually needs a bag that is durable as he is traveling from place to face handling jobs.  THE ARCHAEOLOGIST: The Archaeologist guy is a bit more fashion conscience, but he's the type of guy who wants to look good, but still wants you to know he's cool about it and it's not a big deal. Looking back on some old photo albums I laugh playfully at how I used to dress. Being an adult now, I sometimes question the way those younger than me dress, but then it hits me: We all have our phases of fashion. I continued to look over my photo albums and some friends as well and was able to determine that for the most part, we go through three phases until we find ourselves, fashionably speaking. PHASE I: The wonder years.             Phase one is your High School years. For most, before this your clothing choices were dominated by your parental figures. Your choices in apparel were limited and monitored. However, even if you had freedom to choose at this point, the high school teen is far too impressionable to really have their own fashion sense.
